What is Silverlight?

Microsoft Silverlight is a free plug-in that that provides a powerful development platform based on the .NET framework that is compatible across multiple browsers, devices and operating systems. It allows iSky Software to develop compelling experiences for our clients users, with support for advanced data integration and visulisation, multithreading, HD video using Smooth Streaming.

Silverlight allows an offline experience to be developed, which means that even disconnected users can continue to use your applications by extending the browser experience to the desktop and devices. User experience is enhanced with modern and effecient UI that is often demanded and this same experience can be delivered on PC, Mac and Linux as well as mobile devices like Windows Phone 7, Nokia Series 60 and set top boxes.
